Recently, members at the Mercy General Lab were told that the day shift Blood Bank CLS would now perform clerical duties that have been performed by another union’s members for the last 20 years. The Union called for a “cease and desist” from hospital management which immediately resolved the issue. Although, the Lab Director has decided to keep the Blood Bank duties the same for now, ESC Local 20 members will remain vigilant to ensure proper division of work remains.
